Riddle #001

                                Three people check into a hotel. They pay Rs.30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is Rs.25 and gives the bellboy Rs.5 to return to the guests. Three people gives bell boy a tips of Rs.2 and takes Re.1 for each of them. Now each person paid Rs.10 and got back Re.1. So they paid Rs.9 each, totaling Rs.27. The bellboy has another Rs.2, adding up to Rs.29.
Where is the remaining Re.1 gone?

You cannot algebraically add what the boy got to what they paid, they are different quantities (maybe expenditures and revenue?). You have to subtract them from each other. If they paid 27, then 2 of these 27 went to the boy, and 25 to the hotel.

@Muneer: Perfect Sheik, u get 1,0 :D!
Answer: This is a nice nonsense. Each guest paid Rs.9 because they gave Rs.30 and they were given back Rs.3. The manager got Rs.25 and the difference (Rs.2) has the bellboy. So it is nonsense to add the Rs.2 to the Rs.27, since the bellboy kept the Rs.2.
I guess my friend Muneer was perfectly right !
