Nice Picture! If you took this picture in color, probably you can process it a bit for better tones. I mean the capture is very good so you can really get it to near-professional quality by good processing. Even on GIMP you must be able to do it easily. If you didn't take it in color, take them in color from next time :-) It is always better to convert later, in my opinion. As to this picture it can still be processed a bit for tones and improved.
